Pilot-In-Command Course

LEARN TO FLY – HANDS-ON

The Pilot-In-Command Course builds on the principles learned during the Part 107 Test Prep Course.  Since the FAA does not require a practical evaluation, many new drone pilots enter the market with very little hands-on experience in flying their small drones.  This course provides the basic flying skills, safety procedures, and crew resource management competencies to give new pilots a solid foundation for safe and effective sUAS operations:

Subjects include:

  • Pre-flight inspection checklist procedure
  • Crew Resource Management
    • Pilot-In-Command Responsibilities
    • Visual Observer Duties
    •  Safety Monitor Duties
  • Controlled Airspace – LAANC Procedures
  • Obstacle Avoidance Procedures
  • Signal loss procedures
  • Emergency Procuduress
